Jaclyn Kot is the Amazon bestselling author of the Between Life and Death series, a dark fantasy romance inspired by Hades and Persephone. She likes her stories served with plot twists, a side of spice, and morally grey males with a palate for strong-willed females. 

She is a prairie girl, an avid reader, occasional Netflix binger, and a total foodie. She is a proud mama of many chickens, two fabulous, fluffy kitties, and a good doggo. She lives on a farm in Saskatchewan, Canada with her husband.

Jaclyn loosely started working on Between Life and Death over a decade ago—these characters have been haunting her for years.  Upon release, Between Life and Death received an overwhelmingly positive response from the Booktok community and quickly earned the “Best of Booktok” banner, while qualifying as a best seller in multiple Amazon categories.

But Jaclyn’s humble beginnings as a writer go way back. When she was little, she would get her mom to make books for her. Her mom would take paper, cut it, and staple the pieces together on one side. After, Jaclyn would get busy working on her latest story, which usually involved “drawings” as she wasn’t quite able to spell yet.

Storytelling has always been near and dear to Jaclyn’s heart, and she is so excited to share even more deeply romantic tales with the world.
